I have been trying to find a person of color with their feet in this position and have been unsuccessful. But today, I was driving home from work and saw a specimen! Pink feet on a dash! I just had to get the iPhone out and take a photo... so here it is!

Prayer?
I came across a link that explained prayer in a humorous way - but it was pretty much on point with the way I think.
Praying... Do you think your prayers are truly answered if the situation you're praying about falls into your favor? What do you think happens if you say many many prayers and the result is not what you wanted? When someone says, "Pray for me." and you pray but something bad still happens - how do you explain that?
I've often wondered about that. Just the other day, a few of my friends were talking about life and prayer. I have the philosophy that whatever I do is already planned for me because God is working through me. I have the ability to make choices in my life but the path I've been placed on - while I may wander from it, I am always directed back to the path. Some choices I make have me going through tough times and larger lessons learned. Other paths are easier to navigate and things just seem to fall into place. Ultimately, God is in control and your life and all of those lives surrounding you are already determined. Let go and let God (do His thing).
When a friend of mine asked me to pray for him as he was on his trip... I told him that I don't really pray like that because whatever is supposed to happen is supposed to happen. I thought a little more about it and when i'm on the plane, I pray that we don't have crazy people on it and that the pilots do a good job and get us there safely. When I drive long distances I pray for safety. So I do pray for things - just not all things. And yes... it kinda helps the mind be at ease when faced with adversity. I totally get that.
In all, I don't think prayer changes the results. I think prayer just brings a level of peace. What do you think?

Since I'm Talking About Toes....
After the post about camel toes... I starting thinkin' about toes in general. People have a LOT of audacity to wear open toe and heal shoe wear and not have their feet in open toe/heal wear shape. How in the hell do you find it okay to go outside with crusty feet?
I mention all of this because I was at a restaurant and this older guy came in and his feet were atrocious! Good thing I have a high level of control of my gag reflex. Those toes were yellowed, overgrown toenails and looked as if he had been preparing an apple pie crust with his feet.
What makes me wonder is at what point did they ever look at their feet and think, "Shit, I better get a handle on these feet before they start looking bad." There has to be a point in time. It just HAS TO BE! If that time passed you by, it would probably serve you well to see a doctor. Those issues will only compound themselves.
What would be great is if you keep those gnarly fuckin' feet in some socks.
I've struggled with the notion of subjecting my readers to the atrocity of such types of feet - but I feel that if I had to see them, you all needed to see some of these offenders!

OooOOOh and look at this - Good Morning America is doing a segment on foot problems! It's a sign!!
Here are some helpful links if you find that your feet are on the verge of a breakdown - or a way to wake up and head out for a pedicure!

Camels and Moose?

The conversation went a little like this.
My question is, "Do girls even know if they're rockin' the camel toe? If they don't realize it - how can they NOT feel that pressure down there?" Do they realize it and just say, "Fuck it - I'm fat down there and I won't buy any new pants that truly fit because I just don't care that much"? That makes me wonder.
Me: "You know, I have something I want to share with y'all. __________ has some fuckin' SERIOUS camel toe!"
(Group of friends erupt in laughter)
Friend: "Oh my God! I was just talking to ____________ about that! She noticed it too!"

Camels and Moose. Things that make you go hmmm...

Do All Dogs Go to Heaven?
My thought is that every living thing has a soul. I think having a soul is based on energy. Living beings are vessels of energy and when you die the energy is released, i.e. - your soul or spirit, however you choose to look at it. The religious take was that animals are on the planet for man to rule and they don't have souls. Makes me think that this is some sort of justification for doing as we like to animals. I may have not expressed the religious comment clearly but this is what I drew from it.
It's amazing to think that people think my dog doesn't have a soul. When I look at Big Mac (pictured), I see his emotions. I know when he's happy, sad, lonely, bored. He is very expressive. He knows when I'm angry and he knows when he's done something bad - I can tell by how reacts to me. When I look into his eyes I know there's a soul in there - his spirit adds to my ups and downs everyday!
I asked a couple of other friends what their take was on it and many folks said yes while others were unsure and some that said absolutely not.
I started to wonder about where I may have built this belief. Did I get it from my family? Did I learn it from TV? It couldn't have been from the movie, "All Dogs Go to Heaven" because I've only seen maybe 20 minutes of the animated film. In talking with my father today - he agreed - animals do have a soul. Oddly enough, this is the first real conversation related to religion that he and I have ever had, so I can't say I picked up this belief solely from him.
What I do remember from my childhood is burying one of our dogs in the backyard. I remember my father crying as he was digging the hole. I remember his covering our family dog with dirt in the rain. I also remember how spiritual it all felt. I truly believe that as an animal that has shown nothing but unconditional love, protection and companionship our family dog went to heaven.
Do you think animals have a soul/spirit and go to heaven?
Here's an interesting thread on the thought: <Click Here>
